Live Music Night

5:00pm – 10:00pm

On Saturday 28th October The Widgeon Theatre Bost will be hosting a Music Night with Ian Roland with support from Chris Greve, Laura Dannan and Simon Grady.
 
Tickets are suggested donations at £6. £8, £10 and £12 and are available online or in person with cash or card payment at The Widgeon Theatre Boat.
 
We will be open from Midday on the day till 10pm with the line up for the music as follows.
 
5:15pm – Simon Grady 
 
6:30pm – Laura Dannan
7:30pm – Chris Greve
8:45pm – Ian Roland

IAN ROLAND

 
 
 
 
Ian Roland is a singer-songwriter who writes original Roots, Contemporary Folk music, full of heart-strung orchestration and up-close, life-drenched lyrics. Ian plays live as a solo act and also with other line ups. 
 
He has supported acts such as Martin Simpson, The Black Feathers, Stick In The Wheel, TV Smith, Robb Johnson, Boo Hewerdine, Robert Vincent, 10cc’s Graham Gouldman, Joshua Ray Walker.
 
Ian released a new album earlier this year called ‘The Wood Wide Web’. Check out some of the quotes below.

CHRIS GREVE

 
 
 
 
Chris Greve is a Celtic and Canadiana inspired musician who was born in London, England, grew up in Calgary, Canada, and is now living back in England. 
 
He recently released a new album, “Hand in Hand”.
 
Chris is based in London again but travels to perform in all the areas of the UK and beyond.
 
 

LAURA DANNAN

 
 
 
Laura, is a singer songwriter from St. Albans, Hertfordshire. 
 
With her quirky narrative style and relatable lyrics, Laura’s songs combine story telling & the use of vivid imagery as she brings a lighthearted approach to pondering life’s trials & tribulations.
 

SIMON GRADY

 
 
 
London based singer-songwriter, Simon O’Grady plays acoustic songs using finger-picked guitar, open tunings, hypnotic rhythms and folk-influenced melodies.
 
Previous projects include:
 
Grand Union: folk/jazz (Acid Jazz Records)
 
Taxi Pata-Pata: ‘Britain’s best African band’ – Andy Kershaw
 
Since going solo, he has been performing at folk and acoustic venues.
 
Some current influences are: The Murphy Beds, Chris Wood and Kris Drever.
